Every release of the extension, Desktop and the website.

  1. Extension 0.2.0Current

A new look and clearer statuses

The extension takes on the look of provseal.fr, from the popup to the reports and the badges shown on pages.

    • A welcome tour that shows how checking works and how to pin ProvSeal
    • The same four statuses everywhere: Trusted, Signed not recognised, Invalid, No information
    • Badge details at a glance: the verdict, the three checks and who signed
    • Badges follow your settings right away: change the style or corner and open pages update
    • A live card while a page is scanned, then the results as a grid you can filter by status
    • A full report anyone can read, with the technical details folded below
    • Settings grouped into foldable sections, with Light, Balanced and Thorough performance presets
    • More reliable page scans: fewer duplicate checks, with size limits and timeouts enforced
  2. Site

    Product pages, Trust and pricing

Public site updated to match the product story: free Extension, Desktop for on-premise workflows, Console with Desktop pilot.

    • New /extension, /desktop and /console product pages
    • Security, Privacy and Limitations rewritten for local-first boundaries
    • Pricing simplified to Extension + Desktop (Console noted with Desktop)
    • Roadmap milestones updated for Extension → Desktop → Console
  3. Desktop 0.1.0 beta

ProvSeal Desktop, beta in the pilot program

First Desktop beta, available within the pilot program: local signing and verification on the workstation.

    • macOS, on Apple Silicon and Intel
    • Installed with you during the pilot: no public download
    • Windows and Linux versions planned
  4. Extension 0.1.5

    Firefox compliance and TrustMark

Chrome release 0.1.5. Firefox store build uses technical version 0.1.5.1 (same product version_name) after AMO review feedback.

    • Removed the unused ProvSeal Desktop native-messaging integration and its elevated permission
    • Added reproducible Firefox and Mozilla source packages for AMO review
    • Replaced the obfuscated TrustMark BCH helper with reviewable TypeScript
    • Removed dynamic code evaluation from the TrustMark decoder for Mozilla compliance
  5. Extension 0.1.4

    New name, About screen, TrustMark

Renamed from C2PA Signer to ProvSeal because “C2PA” is a trademark of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA™). Same C2PA Content Credentials workflows — only the product name changes.

    • About screen with product identity, logo and release highlights
    • Firefox: dedicated file workflow tab when the popup file picker is limited
    • TrustMark invisible watermark detection in verification reports
    • Optional remote sync of C2PA trust lists from conformance-public on GitHub
  6. Extension 0.1.3

    Store preparation

    • Packaging and store-asset preparation ahead of the ProvSeal release
    • Firefox validation build submitted to Mozilla Add-ons for review
  7. Extension 0.1.2

    Local PDF signing

    • Local PDF signing alongside JPEG and PNG (up to 25 MB in the extension)
    • PDF verification and signing use the same C2PA manifest workflow as images
  8. Extension 0.1.0

    First public extension

    • C2PA verification for JPEG, PNG, PDF, MP4, MOV and WebM via the official C2PA WASM SDK
    • Local signing for JPEG and PNG with test identity or PKCS#12 import
    • Detailed reports with engine context, signing trust list and TSA trust list
    • Manual page scan and optional automatic scan with explicit host permission
    • Unified status labels: Verified, Signed, Invalid and No C2PA
