Why I created ProvSeal.

I have worked on public key infrastructure for years: certificates, chains of trust, hardware modules. When the C2PA standard appeared, one thing was obvious to me: proving where content comes from is first a matter of signatures and trust.

Almost every existing solution went through the cloud: upload your files, hand over your keys, pay per signature. For many organisations, that is impossible. So I built the opposite: a platform that signs on your premises, with your keys, with no meter running.

The project was first called C2PA Signer. Since “C2PA” is a registered trademark of the Coalition, it became ProvSeal. ProvSeal is a member of the Content Authenticity Initiative and a technology partner of IMATAG for invisible watermarking.

Today, ProvSeal Enterprise is in beta. I am looking for a few organisations to build it with, on their real production.
